Supplier registration with large Saudi companies: how it works and what they ask for
Supplier registration with a large Saudi company means opening a vendor account on that buyer's own portal, uploading your company papers and answering its questionnaire. Aramco uses its e-Marketplace, SABIC adds Achilles due diligence, NUPCO uses iNupco, and NEOM uses the GEP network. Approval lets you be invited to bid. It does not guarantee business.

Key takeaways
- Each large buyer runs its own vendor portal, so you register separately with each one.
- Aramco lists 9 government documents and 6 Aramco documents for Saudi-based suppliers.
- SABIC issues a vendor ID only after due diligence, technical qualification and onboarding are all complete.
- NUPCO asks for CR, GOSI, Saudization, Chamber and Zakat certificates, in PDF, with details that match official records.
- Aramco, SABIC and NEOM all state that registration does not guarantee business or tender invites.
How vendor registration works at a large company
Large Saudi buyers do not buy from anyone who sends a price. They keep an approved vendor list, and only companies on that list are invited to quote or bid. Getting on the list is what suppliers call vendor registration.
The flow is similar at most large buyers. First you fill a short pre-registration form on the buyer's portal. The buyer reviews it and sends you login details. Then you complete your company profile, upload your papers and answer a questionnaire about your activities, finances, safety and quality. Some buyers add a deeper check or a site visit. At the end you get a vendor code, and you can be invited to sourcing events.
Two things surprise many suppliers. First, there is no shared registration: each buyer has its own portal and its own list. Second, being approved is a door, not a sale. The buyer still decides who to invite, and you still have to win on price, delivery and quality.
Aramco: what its official page asks for
Aramco says all companies that supply it must register, and companies located in Saudi Arabia are handled by its Dhahran office. Saudi-based suppliers register through the Aramco e-Marketplace Platform, submit a registration request and fill the questionnaire. Aramco publishes a Supplier Registration Technical Guide and separate registration forms for in-Kingdom vendors and manufacturers.
The page lists 9 government documents: CR certificate, industrial license for manufacturers, investment license if applicable, Zakat certificate, VAT certificate, GOSI certificate, Civil Defense license or equivalent, Chamber of Commerce membership, and government contractor classification for service providers if applicable.
It then lists 6 Aramco documents: a signed acknowledgment of the Supplier Code of Conduct, a bank letter, a Company Ownership Profile, an Authorized Signatory Letter, a Jadeer certificate issued by Monsha'at for SMEs if applicable, and the Cybersecurity Compliance Certificate (CCC). Aramco does not publish the cost of the CCC audit on that page.
SABIC and NUPCO: due diligence and two systems
SABIC runs registration in three steps. Step 1 is due diligence by Achilles, using online questionnaires and an on-site audit where applicable, covering capabilities, insurances, policies, financial information and EHSS. Step 2 is technical qualification by SABIC against a qualification matrix. Step 3 is onboarding, when SABIC issues a unique vendor code. SABIC asks new suppliers to start due diligence within 1 week of the invitation email, and says booking, payment or an on-site audit may be required.
NUPCO, the health sector buyer, starts with pre-registration on iNupco. After review it emails login details so you can upload documents. It lists five: CR, GOSI certificate, Saudization certificate, Chamber membership and the Zakat certificate. NUPCO then uses two systems: SRM to buy tender documents and submit offers, and iNupco after an award for delivery schedules, purchase orders and payment claims.
NEOM, and what registration does not give you
NEOM says registration on its supplier portal is free. You submit company details and supporting documents and accept its terms. Once approved, you receive a supplier questionnaire. NEOM works through the GEP Business Network, and it says that a company already registered with GEP still has to register with NEOM to receive tender invites.
The same message appears at every buyer we checked. Aramco says registering and qualifying does not guarantee future business. SABIC says the registration process does not guarantee business. NEOM says registering will not guarantee invites to tenders.
So plan registration as an investment of time. Pick the buyers whose categories match what you sell. Register properly once with each of them, keep your papers valid, and watch for invitations. Registration makes you eligible. Quotes, delivery and follow-up are what turn eligibility into orders.
What ENTEK does and does not do
ENTEK is not part of any buyer's vendor portal. It is not linked to Aramco, SABIC, NUPCO or NEOM, and it does not register you with them. You still register on each buyer's own portal.
What ENTEK gives you is one place to keep the same company facts that these portals ask for. On ENTEK you build a verified company profile with CR and VAT numbers, certifications, key personnel and official stamp. Corporate buyers on ENTEK see that one profile, so you do not rebuild it for each of them.
On ENTEK you can also receive RFQs, submit bids and negotiate in rounds, with delivery options per line, and get purchase orders when you win. You can invite your corporate customers to buy from you on ENTEK. ENTEK does not promise orders or RFQs. You can start on the Free plan (1 store, 10 RFQs, 10 users) and move to Basic, Advanced or Premium later.

Before you open a vendor account with a large buyer
- Check that the buyer purchases the category you sell.
- Use an official company email, not a personal one.
- Make sure your company name and CR number match your CR certificate exactly.
- Scan every certificate as a clear PDF and check its expiry date.
- Ask your bank for a bank letter on its letterhead.
- Prepare your activities, key staff and references for the questionnaire.
- Read the buyer's supplier code of conduct before you sign it.
- Save your login details and note the date you applied.

Frequently Asked Questions
I registered on a big company's vendor portal and got no requests at all. Why?
Registration only puts you on the approved list. Aramco, SABIC and NEOM all say it does not guarantee business or invites. Check that your categories match what the buyer purchases, that your profile is complete, and that your papers are still valid. Then watch for invitations and answer them on time.
Every company asks for the same papers again. Is there a way to shorten this?
There is no shared registration between these buyers, so you upload to each portal. What saves time is one ready pack: current PDFs of your CR, VAT, Zakat, GOSI, Saudization and Chamber papers, a bank letter and your key company facts, kept in one place and renewed before they expire.
Is registration with these companies free?
NEOM says its registration is free. SABIC says its due diligence step may require booking and payment. Aramco does not publish the cost of the CCC audit on its page. Check the buyer's own page before you start, and ask the buyer directly if a cost is not shown.
I am already on GEP or another network. Do I still need to register with the buyer?
Yes, at least for NEOM. NEOM says a company already registered with GEP must still register with NEOM to access its platform and receive tender invites. Treat each buyer as a separate registration unless its own page says otherwise.
Does ENTEK register me with Aramco, SABIC, NUPCO or NEOM?
No. ENTEK is not linked to any of them and does not register suppliers on their portals. ENTEK is a separate place where corporate buyers on ENTEK see your verified company profile and send RFQs.
